Redeem Joins The KAT-PAWS Project! (CATalytic Plasmonic-Assisted Water Splitting)
🚀 Project Launch Announcement: KAT PAWS 🧪🌱
We're thrilled to kick off KAT PAWS – an ambitious, innovation-driven project at the forefront of green hydrogen production and sustainable materials development! 🌍⚡
Redeem starts collaboration with Vienna Technical University TU Wien and Austrian Institute of Technology AIT
Our mission? To push the boundaries of photocatalytic hydrogen generation through cutting-edge plasmon-enhanced materials and resource-efficient design.
🔬 Project Objectives at a Glance: 1️⃣ Achieve a >30% boost in hydrogen production efficiency using plasmonic photocatalysts under simulated sunlight.
2️⃣ Cut down on critical raw material usage by:
Replacing bulk TiO₂ with TiO₂-coated silica.
Reducing Pt usage 20-fold via Redeem’s smart photodeposition process. 3️⃣ Apply AI-driven experimental design and high-throughput methods to speed up materials discovery and optimize performance.
4️⃣ Integrate our innovations into lab-scale fixed-bed photoreactors for robust performance and stability testing.
5️⃣ Target >3000 µmol/g/h hydrogen productivity with <10% efficiency loss after 1000 hours at room temperature.
6️⃣ Develop recycling methods to recover >90% of precious metals and achieve >20% overall resource savings.
🌐 With KAT PAWS, we're not just working toward a cleaner future — we're redefining how materials, energy, and sustainability intersect.
Excited for what’s ahead and proud to collaborate with such a forward-thinking team. Let’s get to work! 💡🔋
